Worship at Apostles

The word "Liturgy" literally means "the work of the people".  Here we offer discussion dedicated to studying the worship of God, which, if done purposefully, is always "work".

At Church of the Apostles, it is our firm conviction that the Body of Christ is composed of people from "every tribe and tongue and nation," which means that the Church Catholic (universal) is made up of people from every era, every ethnic and cultural group and every linguistic dialect.  Therefore, the work of the people is inherently expressed in the language of the people.  Within the canons (Church Law) of our denomination, we support the use of Modern language liturgies along side the older-language liturgies.  In this matter, as in all things,  we remind ourselves of the wisdom of the Church:  "In Essentials, Unity; in Non-essentials, Liberty;  in All Things, Charity."
